55. Jesus said, "Whosoever hateth not his father and his mother cannot be a disciple of me. And whosoever hateth not his brothers and sisters and taketh up his cross in my way will not be worthy of me." Mt 10:37,38 (Cf. Th 99,101)
"He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me."

"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple."
