| 18. The disciples said unto Jesus, "Tell us
how our end will be." Jesus said, "Have ye therefore found the beginning that ye now look for the end? For there where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will hold fast to the beginning; he will know the end and will not taste of death." |

thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest
thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest:
but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch
forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee,
and carry thee whither thou wouldest not." Jesus saith unto him, "If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me." |
Those who are seeking to understand death and the transition into the next stage of existence must know the beginning, the transition into the present state. If we know where we came from and the purpose of our life, and if we fulfill that purpose, we will be ready for death when it comes.
