| 37What the chooser probably saw was the potential of being the head of a well ordered state. This was where his experience had been. He had lived a powerless existence and now was the chance to be at the head. This was where his heart was set. Contemplation would have been advisable. Only later did he see what the effect would be of putting his particular soul in that life role. His soul would not be able to control such power and would succumb to many selfish temptations. The test is not in the role chosen, but in how well one might be able to fill that role. Philosophy comes from time spent in contemplation. |
