5That the gods were the source of otherwise inexplicable cause-effect relationships in life and death comes from the mythological foundations of Greek philosophy. One might argue that coincidence and serendipidy have attained the title of ‘gods.’ But we must remember that truth and the workings of the universe were created and sustained by the gods. Mythos was the non-reasoned or yet unreasoned truth taken as self-evident.
