measure [±…] a binary feature arising on nominals referring to measures, containers, or typical shapes, cf., ¶15-4-5. As a scientific standard the m. is sometimes called a unit of measurement. The m. is an adverbial noun which may be joined with and or asyndetically, cf., ¶10-3-5, and which also appears as a variety of an adverb of extent. As a quantifier it is possible to describe the m. using transformation, ¶15-5-4.
